Overhead monorail conveyor systems and electric monorail conveyor systems (EMC)
Our electric monorail conveyor systems and overhead monorail conveyor systems offer an extremely flexible means of transportation that integrates perfectly into all processes.
Overhead monorail conveyor systems – concept examples
Electric monorail conveyor systems are a rail-based means of conveyance with individually driven vehicles that move independently on the rail system. This product opens up a number of options for the transport of components.
The electric monorail conveyor systems that we build are used, for example, for the transport of paint traverses or the return transport of diagnostic devices, but can be specified for many other applications as well. Because the guide rails of the electric monorail conveyor can be fixed to both the ceiling and to a suspended or free-standing steel construction, the product can be installed in accordance with widely varying customer specifications and requirements, and in keeping with the on-site operating conditions.
The chassis control units receive their control data from the PLC by means of “communication” via the data rails. The vehicles are supplied with power and control signals via conductor lines on the support rails. Junctions are realised by means of points on the line.
