Handling systems – concept examples
Using conveyance technology, handling systems and equipment, we combine the individual production steps to create an automated battery production process – from the labelling of the battery casing to palletisation on the storage trays.
No well-formed assembly line is complete without shop-to-shop transportation of batteries. We plan and manufacture conveyance technology for intralogistics in value-creating production processes – it may be floor-mounted or suspended from the ceiling, but it is always space-saving. This also includes conveyance technology for loaded pallets weighing up to 1.5 tonnes.
The system depalletises trays with various stacking patterns, since the robot can, with the help of camera-aided 2D position detection, execute internal stacking tasks independently. Thus, the robot also detects batteries deposited at a skewed angle and adjusts the robotic motion accordingly. It also handles the supplied trays for the new battery stack.
The robotic stacking system places the batteries on special load carriers: pallets and posts. Here the robot performs the stacking in accordance with a customer-specific stacking pattern as well as onto different pallets.
In the palletiser, stacked lead plates are restacked or palletised onto pallets with corner posts, ready for further processing.
